Please read these Terms and Conditions ("User Agreement") carefully before accessing or registering on the Mangal Setu platform. By creating an account or subscribing to our services, you agree to be legally bound by this agreement.
1 Eligibility & Legal Marriage Age
Mangal Setu ("Platform", "We", "Us", or "Our") is an exclusive matchmaking directory designed for Indian families seeking prospective matrimonial alliances. To register, access, or utilize any feature of this Platform, you must fulfill all of the following legal requirements:
- Legal Age: Female applicants must be at least 18 years of age, and male applicants must be at least 21 years of age as mandated by the law of India.
- Marital Status: You must be legally eligible to marry under the applicable personal laws of India (Never Married, Divorced with final court decree, or Widowed).
- Bonafide Intent: The platform is strictly for matrimonial intentions. Commercial matchmaking agencies, brokers, dating agents, or casual dating intent are strictly prohibited.
2 Platform Stage, Profile Volume & Gender Ratio Disclaimer
Mangal Setu operates as a self-curated, volunteer-driven community matrimonial directory. Prospective members and their families join, upload bios, and connect voluntarily.
2. No Guarantee of Matches or Contacts: Mangal Setu strictly provides the technical infrastructure (unlimited browsing, filters, interest sending, and in-app chat). We do NOT guarantee, promise, or warrant:
- Any fixed or minimum number of prospective bride/groom profiles in your specific caste or district;
- That any member will view, accept, reply to, or converse through your interest requests;
- That registration or pass purchase will result in a matrimonial alliance or marriage.
3 Membership Plans, Pass Expiration & Profile Access Lock
Our platform operates on a transparent, community-friendly fee model with strict profile access controls:
As part of our community social initiative, verified female profiles enjoy lifetime free access to browse and communicate without any pass expiration.
Provides 30 calendar days of active directory access: browse female profiles, send interest requests, unlock verified family WhatsApp & Call contacts upon interest acceptance, and safe text chat.
2. Profile Locking Upon Pass Expiration (૩૦ દિવસ પૂરા થતાં પ્રોફાઇલ્સ લોક):
When the 30-day pass period expires:
- The member's account remains active, registered, and verified in our database (it is NOT deleted);
- ALL prospective bride profiles, directory search results, photo views, and messaging features are immediately locked and hidden;
- The member will exclusively see the "Access Pass Required" (Renewal Paywall Modal) prompting them to renew the ₹99 30-Day Access Pass;
- No profiles or member details shall be accessible or displayed until a valid ₹99 renewal payment is completed;
- The only pages accessible to an expired male member are Account Login, Profile Settings, and Public Legal Policies (Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy).
2. 24-Hour Cooling Window: Once 5 requests have been sent within a 24-hour period, further requests are paused until the 24-hour window clears. A member may send up to 5 new requests again after 24 hours.
3. Mutual Dignity & Genuine Matching: This quota ensures members review biodatas thoroughly and connect with genuine intent, preserving platform quality and family trust.
All payments are securely processed via Razorpay Payment Gateway using 100% UPI Mode. Payments are strictly for instant digital access and are non-refundable once activated.
4 Profile Verification, Due Diligence & "Caveat Emptor" Principle
To maintain high community safety, our admin team screens profile submissions. However, all users, applicants, and guardians understand, acknowledge, and legally agree to the following:
- Self-Attested Information: All information, biodata, educational qualifications, occupation, income, marital history, horoscope, and photographs displayed on profiles are submitted directly by members or their guardians.
- Independent Family Due Diligence: Mangal Setu does not perform background checks, private detective investigations, criminal record checks, or financial audits. Members and their families are strongly urged and advised to conduct independent background verification, family visits, document scrutiny, and matrimonial due diligence before finalizing any alliance.
- Zero Liability for False Declarations: Mangal Setu shall not be liable for any misrepresentations, inaccuracies, omissions, fraud, or damages arising out of interactions between members.
2. Sole Duty of Background Verification: Mangal Setu functions solely as a community intermediary directory connecting prospective families. The complete burden, duty, and responsibility of independently verifying the authenticity, marital eligibility, educational qualifications, employment, income, character, family antecedents, and criminal/civil background of any candidate rests exclusively upon the applicant and their family prior to entering into any alliance, engagement, marriage, or financial dealings.
3. Intermediary Protection (IT Act 2000, Section 79): Under Section 79 of the Information Technology Act, 2000, Mangal Setu is an intermediary facilitating third-party user-submitted content. Mangal Setu, its owners, administrators, and affiliates disclaim any and all liability, warranty, or responsibility for any false declarations, misrepresentations, identity concealment, matrimonial disputes, or emotional/financial damages arising between members.
૨. રૂબરૂ તપાસ અને ખરાઈ કરવાની સંપૂર્ણ જવાબદારી: કોઈપણ સંબંધ આગળ વધારતા પહેલાં કે લગ્ન નક્કી કરતાં પહેલાં સામેવાળા ઉમેદવાર અને તેમના પરિવારની રૂબરૂ મુલાકાત લેવી, સરકારી ઓળખપત્રો ચકાસવા અને સંપૂર્ણ કૌટુંબિક તથા ચારિત્ર્યની ખાતરી કરવાની સંપૂર્ણ જવાબદારી જે-તે સભ્ય અને તેમના વાલીની પોતાની રહેશે. કોઈ પણ સભ્યની ખોટી માહિતી, છેતરપિંડી કે લગ્નજીવનના વિવાદ માટે મંગલ સેતુ કે તેના સંચાલકો કાયદાકીય રીતે ક્યારેય જવાબદાર રહેશે નહીં.
5 Code of Conduct & Prohibited Activities
Every member agrees to maintain dignity, respect, and matrimonial decorum:
- You will not use abusive, obscene, harassing, defamatory, or threatening language in messaging.
- You will not upload inappropriate, vulgar, copyrighted, or misleading photographs.
- You will not harvest user contacts, copy matrimonial data, or use bots, scrapers, or automation tools.
- Violation of our conduct guidelines will result in immediate termination of the account, permanent blacklisting, and reporting to law enforcement authorities without any refund.
6 Account Deactivation & Termination
Members can request account deactivation or deletion at any time via Profile Settings. Mangal Setu reserves the unconditional right to suspend, terminate, or restrict access to any account suspected of fraud, misrepresentation, or violating this User Agreement.
7 Governing Law & Dispute Jurisdiction
This User Agreement and all transactions shall be governed by, construed, and enforced in accordance with the substantive laws of India. Any legal disputes, claims, or proceedings arising out of or related to this Platform or payment transactions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Jasdan / Gujarat, India.
